Objectives of the Scheme:
- To provide self-employment opportunities for educated youth in Assam.
- To establish an entrepreneur-oriented ecosystem in the state.
- To generate employment opportunities in both rural and urban areas.
- To offer financial assistance to individuals and groups for new economic activities or expanding existing enterprises.
- To strengthen the state government's focused on the rural economy.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Permanent resident of Assam.
- Age between 28 to 40 years as of April 1, 2023.
- Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC, SC, and ST candidates.
- Minimum Class 10 education for General category and up to Class 10 for OBC, SC, and ST categories.
- Possession of skills, experiences, knowledge, etc., for income-generating activities.
- A bank account opened before December 31, 2023.
- No default on loans taken from Co-operative and Nationalized Banks.
- Not belonging to a family of government service holders/pensioners.
- Only one member per family eligible for the scheme.
- Registration in the Employment Exchange of Assam before April 1, 2023.
