Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma while addressing a public meeting on
Thursday at Sorbhog of Barpeta district in Assam announced a number of projects
for the area including Royal Enfield or Bullet bikes. The criteria or
eligibility for getting a bike was however not disclosed by the minister.
“Are you
all ready to ride bikes? We will see what can be done once we form the
government, but all of you should get ready to ride bullet bikes. So, get your
driving license ready by this year,” the Minister said in the
meeting.
Meanwhile, over 22 thousand girl students of Assam got free scooties from the state government on January 2021 under Dr. Banikanta Kakati Merit Award of Pragyan Bharati scheme.
